Freeborn Mower Electric Cooperative Automatic Bill Payment, allows your payment to be paid automatically from your checking, savings account or credit card, on the due date. If due date falls on Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the payment will be made the following business day. You will still receive a statement each month which will be marked, "BANK DRAFT - PLEASE DO NOT PAY"
Automatic Bill Payment lets your financial institution do all the work. Each month the amount due on your electric bill is deducted from your designated bank account automatically on the due date. If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the withdrawal will take place on the next business day. There is no check to write as Automatic Bill Payment pays your bill automatically.
Automatic Bill Payment is FREE. If fact, you will save time and money with no check writing expense and no postage costs to deal with.
Completely reliable. All you have to do is make sure there are funds in your account to cover the bill. Automatic Bill Payment takes care of the rest. Your bill is always paid and your credit history is always in good standing.
Automatic Bill Payment usually goes into effect one month after your application is processed. A note will appear on your electric billing indicating this. Until you see this note, continue paying your bill as usual.
If you have a dispute on your bill, you can authorize your bank to stop your Automatic Bill Payment for that month. Normally there will be 10 days between receipt of the bill and the day payment is deducted from your account. If you have a dispute, please use this time to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute before contacting the bank.
Although you will not have a cancelled check for your receipt, the deduction for your electric bill will appear on your monthly checking, savings or credit card account statement.
