New equipment rebate(s) must be submitted no later than 3 months after purchase date and must be installed on cooperative's lines. 

❖ Rebates are in place through December 31, 2024. Funds are limited so members are encouraged to submit as soon as possible. 

❖ Rebates submitted after December 31, 2024, will not qualify if the rebate is no longer offered in 2025. 

❖ Rebates not allowed for a measure and a component of that measure. For example, if an air source heat pump has a variable speed blower motor, the air source heat pump qualifies for a rebate but not the variable speed blower motor. 

❖ Rebate not to exceed the cost of equipment. Additional eligibility criteria may apply. Contact the cooperative for details. 

❖ All documentation listed below must be submitted no later than 3 months after purchase date.
✓ This Rebate Form. Requests missing required information will be returned. 

✓ A dated copy of your receipt or invoice for each item purchased. Note: Proposals are not accepted. 

✓ AHRI Certificate, for all Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps and ECM Blower Motors.

Freeborn Mower Electric Cooperative offers rebates for various heating and cooling equipment. 

  • Central Air Conditioner SEER2 18.1 or greater or SEER 19 or greater $80 per ton Rebate

  • Commercial Air Conditioner & PTACs Less than 20 tons: EER 11 or greater 20 to under 60 tons: EER 10.5+ greater than or equal to 60 ton: EER 10 or greater.
    $40 per ton Rebate

  • Heat Pump - Air Source SEER2 14.3+, HSPF2 7.5+ OR SEER 15+, HSPF 8.8+ $300 per ton Rebate 

  • Heat Pump - Commercial Air Source & PTHPs Under 20 ton: EER 11 or greater 20 to under 60 ton: EER 10.5 or greater
    60 ton and over: EER 10 or greater. $300 per ton Rebate 

  • Heat Pump - Geothermal 
    $500 per ton Rebate

  • New Furnace with ECM Blower Motor Variable speed motor (not multi-speed) “or” AFUE >= 95% & Eae <= 670 kWh/year
    $35 each Rebate

  • Wi-Fi Thermostat - $25 per Unit Rebate | Honeywell or Emerson brand thermostat. Enrolled in the Load Management Program.
