INTERRUPTIBLE HEAT - STORAGE POLICY 5.005A
AVAILABILITY
Available to members for approved, permanently connected, and separately metered home heating applications where another metered electric service is used for lighting and other purposes. Electric service provided under this schedule is subject to all applicable policies of the Cooperative and a member service agreement.
No available in Minnesota service areas formerly served by IPL.
Load is subject to load control and must be separately metered by the Cooperative.
The Interruptible Heat – Storage rate will not be available if net-metered distributed generation is installed.
TYPE OF SERVICE
Single phase, 60 cycle at 120/240 volts.
REQUIREMENTS
Member must have an electrically powered heating storage system.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Service shall be interrupted by a radio receiver or other automatic means provided by the Cooperative. The consumer is responsible for any electrical wiring required for the installation of the necessary control equipment.

In every 24-hour period, storage heat will charge for 10 hours and be off for 14 hours on a schedule as determined by the cooperative and its wholesale power supplier.
RATES
Meter Charge: $3.25
Energy Charge:
5.3 cents | October 1 – May 31 (Winter)
9.5 cents | June 1 – Sept 30 (Summer)
TAXES
Member bills for service under this schedule are subject to any applicable taxes.
POWER COST ADJUSTMENT PROVISION
The above rates are subject to adjustment due to increases or decreases in wholesale purchased power costs.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
The net amount stated on the bill is due on the specified due date each month. If this date falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date is the next business day. The gross amount is due if payment is not received by the due date. The gross amount includes a late payment charge of 1.5% of the total amount due.
